Place Živogošće is on very suitable position to go on a daily excursion. Nearby islands Hvar, Brač, Korčula and peninsula Pelješac offer excellent possibility of one day excursion by boat which usually includes Fish-picnic and numerous boat panoramic excursions along the Makarska Riviera. Further more, we recommend to visit the magnificent Dubrovnik city (120 km) as well as Split city (80km), while the closeness of Bosnia and Herzegovina provides opportunity for visiting the world famous catholic sanctuary Međugorje (70 km), with combination of Kravice waterfalls visit and Mostar city (100 km). Naturally, a visit to our beautiful Makarska city (15 km), the centre of Makarska Riviera, is a most unavoidable. Rafting fans have unforgettable opportunity to try wild flow of Cetina river with visiting Omiš city (50 km), and many will be delighted by trip to waterfalls in National park Krka (170 km) as well as trip to Natural Park Biokovo (30 km) where you will be most excited by panoramic view from the highest Biokovo peak, Sveti Jure (1762 m). For those tourists who come from the middle Europe, we recommend to visit the National park Plitvice (300 km) by the way.
